Embark on an exhilarating scuba diving adventure in the Caño Island Biological Reserve, accessible via a 30-foot Island Hopper. Dive into the vibrant waters surrounding Isla del Caño, where you’ll encounter a rich array of marine life, such as reef sharks, sea turtles, and a variety of fish species.
Highlights of this experience include immersing yourself in the crystal-clear waters to observe the diverse marine ecosystem, exploring the protected marine area of the Caño Island Biological Reserve, and receiving a safety lesson from an expert, suitable for all experience levels.
Before you go, note that the excursion lasts 7 hours and is recommended for individuals aged 12 and up. The tour is conducted in small groups, and lunch is included.
During the excursion, prepare for an unforgettable scuba diving experience near the northern tip of the Osa Peninsula, adjacent to Bahía Drake. You’ll board the Island Hopper to reach the reserve, where an expert will provide a safety briefing for all ages and skill levels.
Upon arrival at the Caño Island Biological Reserve, you’ll be captivated by the pristine waters. You’ll have the opportunity to explore the reserve’s diverse marine life, including reef sharks, sea turtles, parrotfish, eels, manta rays, pufferfish, snappers, sea cucumbers, octopus, and more. With visibility ranging from 30 to 100 feet year-round, Caño Island is an ideal location for underwater photography. Note that scuba certification is required to participate in this tour.
Included in the tour are a bilingual guide, transportation to the islands, lunch, snacks, water, scuba diving equipment, and two tanks of oxygen.
