Starting at the Costurero de la Reina (Queen’s Sewing Box), visit popular sites such as Parque María Luisa and the Jewish quarter of Santa Cruz, as well as lesser-known landmarks, including the Antigua Fábrica de Tabacos (Old Tobacco Factory). Learn about women’s roles in Seville’s past, from cigar girls to literary figures, and gain a new appreciation for the city’s rich history.
Highlights of this tour include learning about Seville’s important female figures in history, industry, and literature. You’ll wander the city’s ancient streets, plazas, and parks with a knowledgeable guide, admiring stately architecture, including industrial factories and UNESCO-listed buildings.
Before embarking on this tour, it’s important to note that it has a duration of 2 hours and is recommended for individuals aged 16 years and up. This is a small group tour, limited to 8 people or less.
During the tour, you’ll explore the often-overlooked side of Seville’s history with a guided walk examining the lives of important female figures. Starting at the Costurera de la Reina, a 19th-century Neo-Mudéjar castle, you’ll hear stories about the women who worked there. You’ll also visit the Antiguo Fábrica de Tabacos and Plaza de España, before making your way through the Alcázar gardens to the Jewish quarter of Santa Cruz.
