Self-Guided Horta-Guinardó District Walk

The walk covers approximately 4.4 miles (7 km) and takes 4-5 hours on foot, allowing you to stop at various points of interest for as long as you like. Horta-Guinardó, located at the base of the Collserola mountain range, offers a mix of history and architecture with its steps and sloped terrain adding to the charm of the route.
The journey begins in the historic Parc del Laberint d’Horta, where an 18th-century cypress tree maze awaits exploration. From there, you’ll meander through centuries-old neighborhoods, passing by turn-of-the-century villas and Catalan farmhouses before reaching a standout example of Catalan modernist architecture.
Highlights of the walk include getting lost in the labyrinthine paths of Parc del Laberint d’Horta, admiring the modernist homes in Horta-Guinardó, and visiting the 600-year-old farmhouse, Casal Mas Guinardó, for a drink on its bar patio.
