This tour offers a deep dive into the life and art of the surrealist master, Salvador Dalí. Explore the Salvador Dalí Theatre-Museum in Figueres, Dalí’s House in Port Lligat (Cadaqués), and the Gala Dalí Castle of Púbol.
The Salvador Dalí Theatre-Museum is hailed as the largest surrealist museum globally. Opened in 1974, it stands on the site of the former Municipal Theatre of Figueres, the final major project of Salvador Dalí. Every aspect of the museum was conceived and crafted by the artist to immerse visitors in his mesmerizing world.
Portlligat features a quaint fisherman’s cabin amidst stunning scenery. Dalí’s House-Museum in Portlligat was his only permanent residence, where he resided and worked until 1982. Dalí spent four decades creating his dream home, resulting in a complex structure of interconnected spaces adorned with his personal belongings. The rooms boast various decorative elements and offer views of the picturesque Portlligat bay.
Following Gala’s passing, Dalí relocated to the Gala-Dalí Castle of Púbol. Visitors to this castle, open to the public since 1996, can explore the medieval building where Gala inspired Salvador Dalí’s artistry in intricate detail, providing her with a tranquil retreat.
