Discover the 2,000-year-old wine heritage of the Penedès region, taste a variety of wines and sparkling cavas, interact with estate owners, and enhance your wine tasting skills with a sommelier. Pair your wine samples with traditional tapas like cured sheep cheese with quince jelly, and venture into the vineyards on a 4WD adventure with your knowledgeable host.
Before you set off, be aware that this 6-hour tour is recommended for individuals aged 18 and above and is limited to a group of 17 people or less. You’ll have the opportunity to enjoy shared tapas at each of the two estates while tasting wines.
The journey begins in Barcelona near Passeig de Gràcia, where you’ll meet your guide and board a luxury van. As you leave the city behind and enter the picturesque Penedès region, you’ll visit the first estate, Can Bas, a family-owned winery with a rich viticulture history. Learn about the estate’s ancient vineyards and enjoy a tasting session in an underground wine cellar with gourmet snacks.
Next, hop on a 4WD vehicle for a scenic ride through the vineyards to a historic manor house and a Romanesque church. Your second stop is Pere Ventura, another renowned cellar producing cava. Delight in a tasting of cava varietals paired with tapas, appetizers, and chocolates before returning to Barcelona around 2 pm.
Daily tours start at 9:00 am and include visits to two local wineries, guided tours of the estates, an exclusive 4WD vineyard ride, private transport, a specialized guide, eight tastings, and snacks.
