Nazca Lines & Huacachina Adventure
This day excursion offers a unique opportunity to explore the famous and mysterious Nazca Lines located in the southern Peruvian desert. The Nazca Lines are a collection of approximately 300 enormous Pre-Columbian geoglyphs carved into the desert floor, depicting various figures such as hummingbirds, dogs, trees, and whales.
The journey commences early in the morning with a picturesque four-hour drive along the coast from Lima to the charming seaside town of Paracas. From Paracas, participants will take to the skies aboard a Cessna airplane for a breathtaking aerial tour of the Nazca Lines. These massive geoglyphs, some stretching up to 1,200 feet (370 meters) in length, consist of intricate geometric patterns. Thanks to the arid climate of the Nazca desert, these ancient artworks, created by removing the top layer of soil to reveal the lighter clay beneath, have remarkably stood the test of time.
Following the aerial adventure, the excursion continues with a visit to Huacachina, a stunning desert oasis surrounded by towering sand dunes. Here, travelers can enjoy an exhilarating sandboarding experience on the sandy slopes, adding an element of excitement to the day’s itinerary.
