What you’ll do
Your adventure commences in the Jewish Quarter, where you’ll wander along the most iconic streets in the city, including Calleja de las Flores, renowned for its charming display of flowers in colorful pots hanging from whitewashed walls. Another must-visit spot is Calleja del Pañuelo, a narrow Moorish-style street culminating in a tranquil square with a fountain. Don’t miss the intriguing tale of Casa de las Cabezas (House of the Heads) as you pause at its facade and peer down Calle Cabezas.
Additional highlights include the historic archway Arco del Portillo, the Renaissance-style fountain at Plaza del Porto, and the 15th-century fortress, Marqueses del Carpio’s Palace. As the sky begins to paint itself in vivid hues, proceed along the picturesque Guadalquivir River to Puente Romano, an ancient bridge dating back to the 1st century BCE. From this vantage point, you’ll witness the iconic views of Córdoba at sunset and witness the monuments coming to life with lights. This is the exact spot captured in countless dusk photos of the city with its bridge and Mezquita Catedral!
Conclude the evening by relaxing on a terrace beneath the radiant glow of the Mosque-Cathedral, bidding farewell to your guide. Please note that the tour excludes entry to these monuments, focusing instead on exterior views and fascinating historical narratives.
