Hiking Brač’s Hidden Trails
Overview
The trail begins in the charming village of Dol and leads all the way up to the summit of Vidova Mountain, where breathtaking panoramic views of Brač, neighboring islands like Hvar and Vis, and on clear days, even Italy, can be enjoyed, overlooking the glistening Adriatic Sea. Along the route, hikers will encounter a wealth of natural and cultural attractions, including archaeological sites, awe-inspiring viewpoints, and protected natural wonders.
A major highlight of the hike is the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as Blaca Monastery (also referred to as the Blaca Hermitage), a 16th-century monastery intricately built into the rock formations of the island.
