Guided Hike to Nymph’s Spring
Enjoy an easy hike to the scenic Nymph’s Spring with a local guide.
Overview
Your journey will lead you to the enchanting Valley of the Butterflies, a habitat for rare species that gather on tree trunks and the walls of the river gorge. Pass by the remnants of an ancient hydroelectric plant as you progress towards the Profitis Ilias Monastery, a sanctuary dedicated to the Prophet Elijah. Explore both the monastery and the remains of a historic villa constructed by a confidant of Mussolini. Revel in uninterrupted vistas of Rhodes Island and the shimmering Aegean Sea as you traverse the area.
Descending from Profitis Ilias, pause to visit the chapel honoring Archangel Michael. Follow a meandering path to Nymph’s Spring, a site dedicated to the woodland nymphs. Take a break here to savor lunch, unwind, and admire the views of Kamiros Beach. Before returning to the bustling Rhodes Town, you’ll be transported by mini-bus to explore the ancient ruins of Kamiros.
