## **Treasury Viewpoint Trek**

The starting point for this memorable trek is the stairway conveniently located next to the Royal Tombs. If you are coming from the backdoor entrance or the awe-inspiring Monastery, the Royal Tombs will be prominently located on your left. Conversely, if you are starting your journey from the Siq, you’ll find the Royal Tombs on your right, just past the ancient Theatre.
Follow the steps upwards, steadily ascending towards your destination. When you reach the point where the stairs transition into a gravel path at the top, you’ll notice a small tent overlooking the Theatre – this is an ideal opportunity to pause, catch your breath, and snap some captivating photos of the surrounding landscape before continuing your ascent. Just a short distance further from there, you’ll reach a fork in the path. Take the trail that leads down to the left. This will guide you into a small valley, a hidden gem tucked away from the main thoroughfare. Follow the small rock pile trail markers, carefully placed to guide you along the correct route, and they will eventually lead you to a traditional Bedouin tent overlooking the magnificent Treasury. Here, you can finally rest, rehydrate, and fully immerse yourself in the unparalleled view, savoring the tranquility and beauty of this iconic landmark.
Remember to carry plenty of water with you to stay hydrated throughout the trek, and don’t hesitate to stop for breaks as needed to avoid overexertion. The stairs can be steep in places, and depending on the time of day, they may be mostly exposed to the sun. Plan for approximately 45 minutes to an hour to reach the viewpoint, allowing an additional 30 minutes to an hour to relax and rest at the top, and then another 45 minutes to get back down to the bottom.
