Starting from the foothills of Mt Parnassos, you will follow a forested route to the village of Delphi, enjoying exceptional views of the ancient sanctuary, rolling olive groves, and the Corinthian Gulf along the way. The moderate trail kicks off at the Livadi Plateau, nearly 4,000 feet high, where you will walk along an ancient path that is now part of the E4 European trail. A highlight of the hike includes a picnic in a traditional sheep barn before descending towards the famous Delphi sanctuary with the Peloponnese Mountains in sight. It is important to note that this hike requires a basic level of physical fitness, and travelers with acrophobia should opt out of this experience.
