Cooking Class & Wine Tasting Experience

Immerse yourself in the gastronomy of Santorini with an authentic introduction to the island’s distinctive food and wine scene. This small-group excursion begins with a visit to a local winery, where a knowledgeable guide will introduce you to the indigenous grape varieties that thrive in the volcanic soil. Embark on a tasting journey through some of the best wines the island has to offer. After indulging in the flavors of Santorini’s wines, it’s time to roll up your sleeves and head to the kitchen for a hands-on cooking lesson with a local chef. Assist in creating traditional dishes and then sit down to enjoy a delicious lunch paired with more local wines.
Highlights of this experience include visiting a Santorini estate winery to taste a selection of distinctive volcanic wines, learning about the island’s unique viticulture and indigenous grape varietals from an expert guide, enjoying a hands-on cooking lesson with a local chef, savoring a leisurely lunch accompanied by more local wines, and taking home a booklet filled with authentic island recipes.
The duration of this experience is 5 hours and is recommended for all ages. It is a small group tour with a maximum of 8 people, ensuring an intimate and personalized experience. Lunch is included, along with a tasting of eight wine varieties and wine to accompany the meal.
Your day will start at 9:30 am when your driver picks you up from your hotel. You’ll first visit a traditional winery to learn about the unique viticulture of Santorini and sample eight different types of wines. Then, you’ll head to a traditional restaurant/winery for a one-hour cooking class with a local chef, where you’ll prepare dishes like Greek salad, fava bean dips, and more. After enjoying the dishes you helped create, you’ll receive a booklet and recipe sheet to recreate the recipes at home.
Start times for this experience vary by day of the week, with Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday offering tours at 9:30 am. Unfortunately, tours are not available on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and limited availability on Sundays.
Included in this experience is round-trip transportation, an English-speaking wine expert guide, a cooking class with a local chef, lunch with local wines, and a recipe card and booklet for you to take home and recreate the flavors of Santorini.
